About The Event
In our final concert of the season, the Reno Wind Symphony will perform some of the greatest film scores of John Williams, the Master of Movie Music.
Nominated for more than 40 Oscars, and winner of five, John Williams is one of the most famous and most acclaimed composers ever. From disaster movies of the 1970s through to the present day, Williams has written thundering themes for many of the most successful films of all time, and shows no sign of slowing down at the age of 85. The RWS, with video accompaniment, will try to answer the question – which 10 of the more than 100 film scores he has written are the best?
There is a general admission charge of $10.00. All students (college, high school, middle school, etc) will be admitted FREE with their school ID card.
